FAQs about Wall-Smart New Construction Mounts

Q: Can you take the electronic device (iPad/iPod/touch panel/keypads) out of the wall?
A: Yes, all devices are accessible for daily use (Tablets) or service (other devices)

Q: Can I get the wall mount in any color?
A: Wall-Smart products, besides Retrofit mounts, are supplied unpainted. The products should be painted after installation together with the rest of the wall in the desired paint and texture. e.

Q: Are Wall-Smart products suited for concrete wall installations?
A: Although Wall-Smart products are designed to be installed in drywall construction, the products may be installed in concrete walls using a Wall-Smart concrete installation box - an additional back box that enables flush installation. Each Wall-Smart product type has its own concrete installation box. See our online catalog for details

Q: How do you power up the iPad?
A: Our new invisible wall mounts for iPad Air and mini come with a POE to USB converter.
In manual and hidden lock wall mounts, the iPad is powered via its original USB power cord connected to an external power source.
External power sources may be as follows:
- PoE to USB converter
- Remote power solutions like PowerWireRemote™
- DC 12V to 5V USB converter power supply designed to charge iPad.
- 5V USB power source + iPad charging plug

Q: Can the iPad be installed horizontally?
A: The invisible wall mount for iPad Air 1,2 and iPad mini 4 can be installed horizontally (in drywall, retrofit and solid boards).

Q: Is there a version with a lock?
A: For the iPad/mini/Air and the Dell tablet there is an hidden lock version in which the door opens only with a proximity key being held in a specific position.

Q: I can’t find the products I am selling on your list. Is it possible to design a wall mount for the product I represent/manufacture?
A: Yes, Wall-Smart design and manufacture wall mounts for different 3th party manufactures. Please contact us for more information.

Q: What do I do with the “hole in the wall” when removing the iPad from the wall mount?
A: The WS for iPad is provided with a paint shield which is the same size of the iPad. Why not print a picture of your loved ones and attach it to the paint shield? That way, every time you remove the iPad, you can put the picture in…

Q: Which products (besides drywall U channels) can I use as wall-mount horizontal supports?
A: In case you do not wont to prepare horizontal wall-mount supports (connecting between vertical studs) out of drywall U channels, you may use some of the following products (or similar):
