FLUSH MOUNTS FOR 3 INSTALLATION TYPES
Wall-Smart manufactures 3 types of wall mounts, for 3 installation types - New Construction, Retrofit & Solid Board/Surface.
NC - New Construction Mounts
Flush – Control devices are integrated with the wall, flush-mounted. Designed for 1/2" drywall - Unless specified otherwise, all New Construction mounts are designed for 1/2" drywall and can be installed in 5/8" drywall using a Shim Pack (10-01-067), sold separately. Paintable – Mounts are supplied unpainted to be painted with the wall finish. Accessible – The wall mounts are designed in a way that the control devices are always accessible for repair. Concrete/Bricks - New Construction mounts can be installed in concrete or brick walls using a matching concrete box/adapter. Tiled walls - New Construction mounts can be installed in tiled walls using a tile kit. The depth calibration system accommodates flush installation in a range of tile thicknesses. The tile kit is also suitable for use with thick wall finishes such as stucco and decorative textured plaster. |
RF - Retrofit Mounts
Designed from the Field - Retrofit mounts were designed for quick upgrades and easy installations without having to do any real construction work. Quick Installation – These mounts take a few minutes to install once you have the opening in the wall. Nearly Flush – The Retrofit mount's bezel protrudes about 0.16" (4mm) out of the wall. Painted/Unpainted – The mount's bezel is supplied either painted black/white, or unpainted to match the wall finish and surrounding decor. Accessible – The wall mounts are designed in a way that the control devices are always accessible for repair. |
SB - Solid Boards Mounts
Depth Calibration – These mounts have depth calibration screws to match the solid surface's thickness. Routing in Solid Surface – The Solid Surface mounts require routing in the solid board according to a DXF file provided. Back Installation - To install Solid Surface mounts you need access to the back of the surface. Accessible – The wall mounts are designed in a way that the control devices are always accessible for repair. |
