Are the Wall-Smart products designed for New Construction or for Retrofit Installations:
Wall-Smart offers solutions for both New Construction and for Retrofit, as well as for installations in Solid surfaces.
Can you take the control device (iPad/touch screen/keypad) out of the wall?
Yes, ALL devices installed with Wall-Smart are accessible for daily use (tablets) or service (Others)
Can I get the wall mount in any color?
Wall-Smart products, besides Retrofit mounts, are supplied unpainted. The products should be painted after installation together with the rest of the wall in the desired paint and texture.
The Retrofit mounts deliverd painted either black or white. Other colors can be custom ordered.
Is it easy to install Wall-Smart wall mounts?
New Construction - It is as easy to install as any other drywall installation. We recommend using a drywall expert to install our wall mounts.
Retrofit - Very simple installtion. No need in drywall work or painting.
Solid surface - installation requires router cut in the solid panel (we supply the DXF) and an access to the back of the panel.
What if there is no drywall or paint job option?
We offer Retrofit solutions for some of the devices.
The nearly flush retrofit wall mounts come painted black or white and can be supplied custom with other finish.
Are Wall-Smart products suited for concrete wall installations?
Although Wall-Smart products are designed to be installed in drywall construction, the products may be installed in concrete walls using a Wall-Smart concrete installation box/adaptor - an additional back box that enables flush installation. Each Wall-Smart product type has its own concrete installation box. See our online catalog for details
Does Wall-Smart products for iPad fit newest models of iPad/mini/Air/Pro?

Can the iPad be installed horizontally?
The invisible wall mount for iPad Air 1,2 and iPad mini 4 can be installed horizontally (in drywall, retrofit and solid boards).
How do you power up the iPad?
Our new Invisible wall mounts for iPad Air and mini supplied with a POE to USB converter.
In the manual and hidden lock wall mounts, the iPad is powered via its original USB power cord connected to an external power source.
External power sources may be as follows:
- PoE to USB converter
- Remote power solutions like PowerWireRemote™
- DC 12V to 5V USB converter power supply designed to charge iPad.
- 5V USB power source + iPad charging plug
Inevitably, hardware changes will happen - will my Wall-Smart adapter be compatible with future models?
We are investing major efforts to develop the adapters such that minimal changes will be required to upgrade the adapter for new equipment. However, we cannot vouch that Equipment manufacturers will not implement drastic changes in the installed equipment design. Ad each mount is custom to the device, changes may apply in form factor, audio grills and other engineering factors.
Is there a lockable version?
For the iPad/mini/Air/Pro and the Dell tablet there is an Hidden lock version in which the door opens only with a key being held in a specific position.
I can’t find the products I am selling on your list. Is it possible to design a wall mount for the product I represent/manufacture?

Do any of your docks have space to accommodate an audio cable to connect to the iPad?
The WS for iPAD Air/Pro 9.7" and the WS for the Dell tablet accommodate an audio plug.
Which products (besides drywall U channels) can I use as wall-mount horizontal supports?
A: In case you do not want to prepare horizontal wall-mount supports (connecting between vertical studs) out of drywall U channels, you may use some of the following products (or similar):
